I am a female, 30 years old.
Last november, my dentist decided to remove my upper wisdom teeth. There was a little cavity in one of them, but he told me that they were useless and needed to be remove.
I thought it was impossible to treat a wisdom tooth cavity, so I agreed with the extractions. Plus he didn't warn me about the risks.
5 monthes after, so when bone remodelling occurred, my face and my occlusion have dramtically changed.
I have a lot of pain in my articulations, my back my neck my knees. I felt my jaw receding etc.
Now, my life is a nightmare : I've aged terribly, my nose is wider and tilted up. I have droopy eyelid and bags under my eyes. I have difficulties to breathe at night, pain in my teeth, too much contacts between my molars, jowls, difficulties to smile, shorter face etc.
The shape of my eyes have changed to : they are round instead of cat like.

Of course, no doctor trust me. Some of them thought it was because of my previous orthodontics.

Now I consider jaw surgery esthetical surgery etc.

I miss my wisdom A LOT.

These teeth are not useless at all, it's a benediction and don't remove them for no good reason such as infection etc.

I am going through pretty much the same thing as you right now, but as a 23 year old male. Ever since I had all four wisdom teeth removed last November my life has not been the same. I use to have a very strong jaw line, prominent cheek bones and perfect bite mechanics. Now my bite is significantly off, my cheeks have sunken in and my lower jaw has receded. The worst part is seeing the negative changes happening slowly over time and not knowing what to do about it. It's pretty defeating. Doing some research I have discovered that many people have similar stories which is proof that it is not a natural thing to remove teeth just because "there isn't enough space in your mouth". So basically the only way I have found to counter this nightmare is having Implants put where your wisdom teeth were, and something called orthotropics. If you have never heard of orthotropics you should definitely look into it, the results speak for themselves. I have been looking into it for months now and there's no doubt that orthotropics should completely replace the outdated common practice of orthodontics, because it seems that the only ones benefiting from the procedure are the orthodontists themselves by taking your money and leaving you worse off than when you started. Anyways I hope this helped in some way. Cheers!

Thank you for your comment :-)
Orthodontics are great, I wish I had it instead of headgear and classic braces.
Unfortunately, I'm too old to practice orthodontics. However, I've asked a consultation in case of an alternative to jaw surgery exists.

I've seen a lot of dentist and surgeon, no one want to replace my wisdom teeth by implants.

Now I don't have a lot of choice : Lefort 1 and BSSO with orthodontics but it's very risky and the result will be unesthetical.
Or do nothing.
I'm waiting the result of my sleep apnea test and orthodontics doctor mind before deciding.

I sincerely hope you will find someone to replace your wisdom teeth. And at 23, orthodontics are still possible.

Wish you the best

I too have had a lot of problems from wisdom tooth removal. Difficulty speaking and singing, pains in my neck, confusion, changed behavior etc.

Me too. Ruined the shape of my face. Were taken out for no reason at all. I had a cute jawline before loved the look when I smiled, now my face looks like a hot dog. No jaw. No fullness. My entire life doctors have done me more harm than good. DO NOT trust what they say. There is a major problem with doctors being dishonest. So yes, this does happen. Don't believe any doctor that claims it doesn't.
